Question:
Can I choose which producer or farm that my product will come from?
Answer:
Yes. You can choose from one or several, if that producer has the product available. You must specify this in your order and whether you want a substitue, if your item is not available.

Question:
What forms of payment do you accept?
Answer:
We accept cash, check, and paypal payments.
Question:
Are your products certified organic?
Answer:
Unless the individual producer is certified organic, we cannot make that claim. Most of our producers follow organic and all natural practices, but it is against the law to label it or otherwise call it "organic" unless they are certified by an agency approved by the USDA. Certification is a costly and very time consuming process. Most small farmers cannot justify the time and expense, regardless of their production methods.

Answer:
Genetically Modified Organisms are mostly created by inserting genes from various species of plants and/or animals into existing plants. While the concept of increased yields and creating disease resistant is great, such has not been the case. Some GMO's have been linked to super weeds resistant to herbicides, insects that are developing immunities to pesticides, and health hazards in humans. Some people also disagree with patenting life, which is what is happening with GMO's. Please google genetically modified foods and educate yourself. Several studies have recently been published regarding potential health risks such as

Question:
How do I defrost and cook my meats?
Answer:
Always defrost in the refrigerator. Avoid the microwave when defrosting grass fed and pastured meats. It will overheat and partially cook the meat before it is fully defrosted. This will result in a meal that is tough and flavourless.

Low and slow. Meats that are lower in fat and grown naturally should be prepared at lower heats, and cooked slower to achieve a tender and moist result. See our recipes section for more....
